SHE BECAME INDIA'S FASTEST SPRINTER U-16 AND SHORTLY SHE WENT ON TO BECOME THE 2nd FASTEST U-18.

Now goes a new position to a very talented lasso, an energetic sportswoman Varsha Rohit who is been working a lot to sway her dreams to be a successful athlete. Along with her education this 18 year old business management student has set her goals to heights with lots of support from her family, teachers and friends.

While in school she was in the volleyball team during her primary school, in a while her physical education teacher encouraged her to run 100mts and thus got selected in taluk championship even though she wasn’t fascinated much in running.

She continued playing volleyball as well until she was rejected in the nationals owing en route pro her because she was a juvenile. She got along with athletics in favor of responsibility to achieve. She started her career training under Dinesh Kunder an international coach who also trains Ms. M R Poovamma who also happens to be an athlete (gold and bronze medal during 2014 Olympics).

She later on made into nationals the year after in 2009 when she got silver medal in 100 mts. She started winning laurels in the nationals in 2010(hatrick gold 100, 200, 400) She won gold in the relay in All India championship and in 2011 she became India’s fastest sprinter U-16 and shortly she went on to become the 2nd fastest U-18. She has her own personal record in the south zone.

She couldn’t participate in major events due to injuries. She subsequently united with Zuese fitness gym for her healthier form. Now she is all set to focus for the 2016 internationals. Being a sportsperson and gaining a lot of applause for her hard work she in addition got hooked on to doing fitness commercials.

This brilliant lasso got selected for the junior world championship in Bangalore where she got an opportunity to visit Srilanka and Berlin representing India. 

While her mom used to be a long jumper and 400 mts sprinter during  school days and dad in short-put her teacher Lorna Gomes former physical education teacher at Gonzaga School is also an inspiration for her.
