The modern contact between photography and painting, has explored an additional set of factors. As art being considered the concept of imagination, skill, and craft—Darshan Subbaiah a photographer and artist based in Bangalore, Karnataka is very passionate in his work and has attracted a wide audience. Subbaiah's Camera has been taking him around the country almost continuously from past few years. Apart from Photography, Subbaiah is also keen in Painting. A freelance photographer who works for several projects, his skills for paintings are incredible. A nature lover, his artistic thoughts includes several themes. A full time zealous for photography, he is building his creativity and passion towards painting.

Darshan's Journey towards his Love to Art:

 

Artists are born or taught, I am neither of them. In fact, it took some more time to discover real me as well as my interests and passion. Definitely, a lot of practical work, time, reading books, travelling and online tips gained me a lot of knowledge to follow my passion. Though I had personal cameras when I was 12 years old, except for personal and family pictures but photography was an unknown word. All my interests are interlinked and I like something which is connected to colors and nature.

 

 It all started, when I began to collect plants and flowers  from different places to build my home garden. My  interests extended to decorate my home with some Art  and Architecture that made me to spend more time with  the artists and their stories which inspired me to grow my  love towards art and colors. I absolutely started to admire the colorful world through my lenses where I began to travel and click thousands of pictures. Art, photography or any involvements in creativity is a key to better mental and emotional health also cultivates your social life. For me art and photography is how yoga, running, swimming, dancing, workouts keeps a human body physically fit and healthy.

Imagination and positive thoughts can always create real value in your life. I do freelance photography projects during weekends and free times. Turning a passion into profession is an ultimate goal and its purpose definitely discovered me.

Art gives an impression that the ideas have captured and provide extensive creativity. Creativity is not always profitable and easily measured. To conclude, it is always good to be passionate and discover ones real interests involving in any imagination with nature and colors as they are always a wonderful obsession.

Dreaming to achieve something is not what you call it an achievement. But working hard on that dream to taste success is something really worth calling it an achievement. You need no class, status, religion to chase your dream; it’s about discipline, hard work, determination, will power, and dedication to work on what you want to become. All you need to have is “positive vibes” within yourself. These are the Mantras believed by our young achiever who has become the nation’s pride by achieving his dreams which knew no bounds.

Thinking who I am talking about? It’s none other than Harjeet Singh, Indian Hockey Player (Men). Yes, am talking about a young achiever, who is worth being noticed for his passion.

“Coming from a poor family, I had to face lots of obstacles in my life. My family encouraged me for my education. But my love towards hockey was inevitable. My parents could not support me due to financial issues. Yet, I achieved to become what I wanted to, because of the love and dedication I had and still have and will always have for the game hockey. I worked hard,” says Harjeet Singh.

For all the readers, you need to be aware of Hockey, as this sport is also the future and gives a great opportunity to all athletes to learn. Though hockey is the national game of India, the spectators cheer only cricket which is not a fair fraction, though. Speaking about his experience “Hockey has taught me a lot in all of my life. This sport gave me a family where we can stay united, trust each other, and build confidence. Overall it helps to improve teamwork,” shares Harjeet.

Having played in a lot of international tournaments like Azlan Shah Cup, World Cup, Champions Trophy, Hockey India League and more, Harjeet now aims to participate in the RIO Olympics 2016. Harjeet has many accolades to his pockets. Having led the Junior Hockey Men’s team, he has won the most “Promising Player”, “Upcoming Player of the Year” among other awards to his credit. 

 

It’s indeed a dream come true for Harjeet Singh. He is definitely a gem.
