IN CONVERSATION WITH HARMATH KHAN ON HIS INTEREST TOWARDS THE ART OF GRAFFITI

Graffiti is one of the most beautiful arts proficient all over the globe by the artists since ancient times. Here goes a minuscule narrative of a graffiti artist who is also a cartoonist and a visual artist.

Harmath Khan a Lakshadweep based student has shown his interests towards art since his early days. Sketching cartoons, a print on stockades (graffiti), and water colors has given him so much to learn to be a better artist.
“I got the spark about graffiti seeing a random video in YouTube. It was posted by a graffiti artist named himself as “Rasko” as his signature in the paintings. It was very difficult to get the clutch to do with spray cans but by training it came out well. I came to know about this art when I was in class 2. I was interested in colours and pencil.

Graffiti art is not easy task as far as I know. To bring a sketch in a paper as it is to a wall needs abundant practice and experience. Every milliliter of the paint in the spray can is valuable. A “spray can” cost triple the amount of a normal paint, so wasting it questions its worth.

My cousin Rameer Thaslim Khan is also a grafitti artist. We often do graffiti bombings together whenever we got opportunities.”
Along with his interests and passion towards art he also is an inspiration to his family and friends.

I would like to conclude this with a small quote borrowed from good reads.

“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make someone smile while they're having a piss.”
